General Terms and Conditions (GTC)
1. Scope
These GTC apply to all subscriptions to the digital online magazine Mente Canina, offered by K9 Services Chiavaro – Media, owner Tanino (Gaetano) Chiavaro, Sarganserstrasse 110, 7310 Bad Ragaz, Switzerland (hereinafter “Provider”). They also apply to book orders (section 12). By taking out a subscription or placing a book order, the customer accepts these GTC.
2. Subject of the contract
In return for payment, the Provider grants access to the digital content of the online magazine Mente Canina (articles, archive) in the languages offered. Access is provided online via a personal user account. Mente Canina is published at least six times a year.
3. Conclusion of the contract
The contract is concluded when the customer takes out a subscription, confirms payment and the Provider activates access. A user account with correct details (name, email address, billing address) is required.
4. Prices and payment
The price shown on the website at the time of subscription applies. The regular annual subscription costs CHF 39. As a founder’s price, the first year costs CHF 29; this price applies only during the stated period and with a valid promotional code. From the second year, the regular price of CHF 39 applies. Payment is processed by the payment service provider Stripe. All prices are in Swiss francs.
5. Term and renewal
The subscription runs for one year and then renews automatically for a further year at a time, at the regular price applicable at that time, unless it is cancelled in time.
6. Cancellation
The subscription can be cancelled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for; there is then no further automatic renewal. Access remains available until the end of the paid period. No refund is made for the current period. Cancellation can be made via the user account or by email to info@mentecanina.ch.
7. Digital content, no withdrawal once access has begun
As the content is digital and available immediately after subscribing, performance begins when access is activated. Content that has already been made accessible cannot subsequently be “returned”.
8. Customer obligations
Login details must be kept confidential and must not be passed on to third parties. The subscription is personal and not transferable.
9. Copyright
All content of the magazine is protected by copyright. Reproduction, distribution or publication beyond the limits permitted by copyright law requires the Provider’s written consent.
10. Liability
The content is produced with the greatest care but does not replace individual veterinary, nutritional or legal advice. To the extent permitted by law, the Provider accepts no liability for damage resulting from the use of the information provided.
11. Changes to the GTC
The Provider may amend these GTC. The version valid at the time of subscription or renewal applies. Subscribers will be informed of material changes.
12. Book orders
Books available in the book trade can be ordered through Mente Canina, including books not presented in the magazine. Delivery is within Switzerland only. Orders are placed by email to info@mentecanina.ch. The Provider first states the final price in Swiss francs including shipping, the payment method and the expected delivery time. The contract is concluded only when the customer confirms this offer. Ordered books are not taken back. Damaged or wrongly delivered books are an exception: if they are reported within 14 days of receipt, the Provider supplies a replacement free of charge or refunds the purchase price.
13. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction
Swiss law applies. To the extent permitted by law, the place of jurisdiction is the Provider’s registered location (Bad Ragaz).
This is a translation. In the event of any discrepancy, the German version prevails.
